About CarrelCarrel graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music (Harp) Performance with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics in Spring 2013. She received SMU Artistic Scholarship award each year, which covered full tuition and fees. She is currently working on a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University. As she is finishing up her Master's degree, she maintains a private piano and harp studio, teaches students at all ages and all levels, and performs at various concerts and events.
Ms. Pang has studied harp since the age of 12. Her teachers included: Susan Dederich-Pejovich, Paula Page, Deborah Tushnet, and Jackie Carpenter. Her major accomplishments included: 2007 and 2008 Texas All-State Band/Orchestra, participating in American Festival of the Arts music festival, and many others. During her time at SMU, she was the principal harpist for the Meadows Symphony Orchestra, Meadows Chamber Music Ensembles, and Meadows Wind Ensemble. Ms. Pang also has studies piano since the age of 7. Her teachers included Agnes Cheung and Timothy Hester. Her major accomplishments included: attending the 2005 and 2006 Texas Music Festival High School Piano Institute and receiving a "1" rating for Piano Solo at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in 2008. |
